The CDCA offers a range of programs designed to bring people together, strengthen family ties, and support community development. These include:
● Youth and Family Programs: Activities that engage youth, build leadership skills, and strengthen cultural identity.
● Women’s Gatherings: Safe and welcoming spaces for connection, empowerment, and support.
● Educational Workshops: Sessions that promote learning, personal growth, and cultural awareness.
● Community Support Initiatives: Providing assistance to newcomers, families in need, and those facing hardship.
● Cultural and Religious Events: Celebrations and gatherings that preserve Druze traditions and promote understanding across the wider community.
Through these programs, we continue to honour our roots while building a stronger, more inclusive future for all.
Our Arabic Language Program helps children and youth connect with their heritage through the beauty of the Arabic language. Classes are held virtually every Sunday and taught by a professional Arabic teacher, making them accessible to families across Calgary.
Through reading, writing, and conversation, students strengthen their cultural identity while gaining practical language skills they can use in everyday life. This program is open to all members of the community who wish to preserve and celebrate the Arabic language and culture.
Our Music Program welcomes participants of all ages to explore the art of music through string instruments and piano. Led by a professional musician with a PhD in music theory, the program provides a structured and supportive environment for students to develop skills, confidence, and creativity.
Whether learning for the first time or refining existing abilities, participants experience music as a bridge between culture and self-expression. The program helps preserve musical traditions while inspiring a lifelong appreciation for art, collaboration, and community.
Our Soccer Program offers a fun and welcoming way for community members of all ages to stay active and connected. It’s a casual, free-flowing program where players come together regularly for friendly matches and team play with good energy and shared enjoyment of the game.
Beyond fitness, it’s a chance to strengthen friendships, build teamwork, and bring people together across generations. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to join in, everyone is welcome to take part and enjoy the spirit of community on and off the field.
We’re always exploring new ways to engage our members, from youth leadership initiatives and cultural workshops to volunteer opportunities that make a difference. Stay tuned as we continue expanding our programs to serve our growing community.
